Hello and welcome to our blog. We’re Ben and Dannii, a couple from the UK who love to travel. In 2017 we spent a year travelling around Australia where we visited most of the major cities as well as living and working in an indigenous community in the northern territory. This ignited our desire to travel as a lifestyle rather than a hobby.
In 2020 we bought a house and then we welcomed our daughter, Isabella in 2021. We wanted to show her the world but Covid restrictions were still in place and we were trapped in our village in England. Travel was still at the back of our minds but in the meantime we had to keep plodding along with day-to-day live. In 2022 we fell pregnant again and with our family almost complete, we set our minds to finding ways to make full-time travel work. We were done with the ‘working to live, living to work’ cycle. We were tired. Tired of working such long hours. Tired of only getting a couple of hours an evening with our daughter. Tired of waiting for the weekends to come. Enough was enough so we sold our house, welcomed our baby boy, Barnaby and handed in our resignations..
So, that brings us to now - July 2023. We've leaving our teaching careers in the next week and we’re preparing to embark on the journey of a lifetime. With our two-year-old and 6-month-old. Are we mad? Maybe! Are we prepared? 50/50. We’re not totally sure if our car is big enough to fit everything want to take but I’m sure we’ll work it out. We always do! We exit the UK in four weeks to travel full-time so come along for the ride and join our journey. We'll document the good, bad, hilarious and downright ridiculous things that happen to us as we show our children the world.

Who said that life should be working Monday to Friday 9-5 and sending your children to childcare until they go to school. We’re done with living for the weekends so we’re not doing that anymore!
